Derived Data
In addition to a number raw data sets, NEM-Review provides several derived data sets (calculated from the raw data) to give you more options for analysis.
By combining raw generator data from the AEMO and unit factors from a variety of other publishers, we’ve created a range of data sets that will aid your understanding of the operations and impacts of generators in the market.
- Generator Unused Capacity - The amount (MW) of a generator's available capacity that is not being used.
- Approximate Generator Spot Revenue - The value of power being output by a generator.
- Approximate Generator Energy Use - The energy (MW) input into the generator to produce its output.
- Approximate Generator Coal Burnt - The amount of coal consumed by a generator.
- Approximate Generator CO2 Emissions - In anticipation of a forthcoming price on carbon.
- Approximate Generator Output Sent-Out - The electrical output of a unit that leaves its station.
- Generator Output at the RRN - The electrical output of a unit that can reach the central node of a region
NEM-Review also provides raw data on interconnector flows and limits. We’ve extended this with the derived North/West flow and South/East flow for all interconnectors, to help you hone in on the most relevant data to your investigations.
